The Pacific Northwest Chapter of the CPCU Society, along with our members, is proud to partner with Non-Profit Organizations in order to make a difference in our community. Our latest volunteer event with Food Lifeline was a success, thanks to the participation of our dedicated member volunteers. We inspected, labeled and repackaged 13,300 pounds of alfredo sauce, translating to 11,083 meals benefiting hungry families in Western Washington. Megan Whittemore, of Parker, Smith and Feek, and a member of our Volunteer Committee, did an outstanding job organizing and managing the event.

On this National Day of Service, the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. come to mind, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'"

It is our hope that our chapter can do for others throughout the year and our goal is to make opportunities to make a difference available to our members and their families. We need you in order to make that goal a reality! Your Volunteer Committee has several events in the works for 2014, including an event at the Eastside Baby Corner and another event with our friends at Food Lifeline.

This is your call to action! If you wish to suggest a Non-Profit in King County that can benefit from a group of volunteers, please send your suggestions to D. Theresa Fabela at tdfabela@psfinc.com or Megan Whittemore at mdwhittemore@psfinc.com.
